About The Event
Being an Agricultural Economy, Farmers and the Agricultural department has always been an important asset to its growth and development. Therefore, in this time of a Global Pandemic eventually leading to an economic crisis, it is necessary to provide wholesome support to this sector especially from a government perspective to help its recovery once this is all over. Even though agriculture is amongst the oldest activities known to mankind, it is undeniable that innovation is required in the sector as well, which is where IPR plays a very crucial role, since it not only provides ease of carrying out the work but at the same time provides incentives to work harder, which is exactly what the economy needs presently. Further, as the main stakeholders in the sector, Farmers not only require special aids but also need new opportunities to fight for their survival, because the effect of this pandemic has probably been the harshest on them, owing to their general lack of knowledge and access to digital means. Hence, this webinar focuses on various rights, measures and supports that are being provided and shall be provided to the sector for its long battle in the era of COVID-19.
